Let me start of by saying I'm not a fan of sandwiches at all.  But a coworker got me hooked to this place.  I just finished half of a pastrami sandwich on sliced sourdough, pepper jack cheese, everything on it and let me tell you.  My stomach has never been so happy.  The sandwiches are huge and are a good value ($6 for my sandwich).  I was slightly appalled when she piled on the pastrami - she actually thought that I, who in no way resembles a sloth (i think?), could finish it?!  She was kind of right - I currently have leftovers of monstrous proportions staring me in the face and despite the capacity of my stomach I'm still eating it.  What can I say, the garlic mayo and the jalapeno spread keep calling to me ... omg, I'm going to gain 10 lbs by the end of the week.  

Julie's Deli is amazing.

This was my favorite place to go to indulge in a high carb treat while cutting organic chemistry.  Their chow mein sauce is tasty, their kung pow chicken is delicious (although lacking a little in meat).  I like the fact that the water is self-serve.  My only beef with this place is that after graduating, every time I visit the area, it always seems to be closed!  BOO HOO.

If you happen to have superhuman mutant night vision and an affinity for good steaks, then this is the place for you.  My filet mignon was DELISH, problem was I couldn't see it.  The place was completely dark save for a few candles and by the end of my spring mix salad (which was fresh and yummy), I was secretly wishing for a Paris Hilton cam just so I would be able to see what I was eating.  Additionally they crank up the music so loud you have to basically shout at your dinner companions.  

The food was good - the steak sauces that came with the filet were amazing and the seabass was fresh and tasty and perfect.  The presentation of the food, what I saw of it at least - assisted with cell phone lighting, was pretty.

There were some damn fine waiters walking around, but the service SUCKED.  This place operates similar to a club, where all attention goes to the cash money millionaires and their wads of paper flowing out of their Prada suits - homeboy at the adjacent table was practically having his feet licked by the wait staff.  Our waiter disappeared after our food was served and a busser served us dessert without spoons which took a good 10 minutes for them to correct, and by that time the ice cream had melted.

STACK: very trendy place with great food and sucky service.

I have been eating here since I was a child and have been through many management changes - however the quality of the food never changes - it is always top notch, at least to my tongue.  Sure, there is a crowd during the weeknights, and for its size, it's comparable to Cheesecake Factory on a Sat night, but hey, they're not waiting there for nothing.  The food is obviously something worth waiting for.

I think I have sampled almost every dish there is in this place, and honestly nothing has disappointed me.  My favorites have got to be the salt and pepper pork, the Westlake beef soup, chow mein, and the fried flounder in ginger/garlic sauce (my stomach is yearning as I type).  

The service:  it's not the greatest and I do recall having to ask for something more than twice, but that's something that can easily be forgiven when your taste buds are on a high.  The only time this place has ever truly let me down is every Monday when they're closed.

I can only click on 5 stars?  I'm quite convinced that this is the best place in Vegas.  Well, one of the best places, it comes right after any club that manages to hook you up with free Cristal.

It's been sort of a tradition for my friends and I to drunkenly stumble into this place (and I really do mean stumble) after a night of obligatory partying and offer our drunken ramblings to the wonderful graveyard wait staff (shout out to you "Kanye!")  I have never met a group of more patient and attentive people who put up with verses from Kanye West's hits in response to their inquiries of "do you need more water?"

And the food!  The food is wonderful and to say the least it's the BEST stuff to fill your pre-hangover needs.  The pot sticker sauce makes my eyes roll to the back of my head.

Did I mention it's beautiful?  It's right off of the Conservatory (that's the huge floral exhibit for all of you Vegas neophytes) and is beautiful.  The best part is eventually seeing the sun peek over the glass ceiling.  It's the best way to see a sunrise in Vegas.

I'M COMING BACK CAFE BELLAGIO!

I like this place a lot better than it's Norfolk street counterpart and was quite happy to discover it.  The main reason being it seems they make a conscious effort to serve you your soup without half of their thumbs in the broth, which is something Norfolk hasn't learned yet.

The soup is absolutely delicious.  The service is fast and the staff is friendly.  The place is clean.  I'm wiling to drive an extra 5 miles to not have my shoes stuck to a sticky floor.  Oh!  And they take Visa/MC too, but only for sales over $10.

First of all, is this a Mexican restaurant or a casino?  I'm pretty sure you can see this place from space with all the neon lights draped over the building.  

The service was pretty bad.  I took a good 10 minutes to get water and another 10 minutes to give our order.  The food?  It was alright; nothing soul shattering about it.  The burrito I ordered was HUGE, so the place has got good value.  

I guess if I'm desperate enough for a huge thigh expanding treat, I'd come here again, but only because it's 4 in the morning, nothing else is open, and I'm drunk.

I have never before seen so much penis and so many drunkards before 9am.  And to think, I didn't even want to wake up for this.

Take the infamous Halloween event in the Castro, take away police and ghetto mofo bastards,  add a lot more daylight, beer, drinking, dancing, nudity, oh, and a marathon, and you've got the Bay to Breakers.

I was a mere spectator this year and I loved it.  I'm actually making it a goal for myself to run next year (and by run I think I actually mean party).

Since when did Wal-Mart (specifically this Mountain View location) turn into impromptu day care for hyperactive mutant children.  If there isn't a child screaming at the top of his lungs, there is a pack of them running around uncontrolled while their parents unaffectedly peruse the tupperware aisle.  Bad shopping experience all around, but I guess that's the price to pay when you want to save a few cents on toothpaste and air fresheners.

However, the McDonald's remodel is nice.  Glad they got rid of that scary figure of Ronald.

The food is tasty, LOVE the honey walnut prawns and the chicken chow mein. The icing on the cake is the food comes out literally 5 minutes AT MOST after you place your order. This is not an exaggeration, it's so amazing I've actually timed it. In fact I've been here many times and often my food is on the table even before I remember to count.

The place is clean and the service is great -  your water glass will NEVER be empty (or half empty even)

Best Chinese restaurant this side of the Bay.
